I’d like to wish everyone of you (except Alex) a happy and healthy holiday and thank you for reading my nonsense throughout the year. This blog is an incredible creative escape for me and I thank you all for your fantastic comments along the way. I am ready, with your help, to take on yet another winter and will continue with my promise to not complain about a thing.

Kyna – I judge happiness by when I can wear flip-flops. Merry Christmas and enjoy your warmer weather … bastard.

Mel – Merry Christmas to you too! We actually have pretty warm temps here – upper 50’s in NJ – so can’t complain!

Jenni – Happy holidays and my best to you and yours (love that saying)!

Great snow photos! I love the grass photo, but also like the ones of the kids trudging to their snow-covered swingset. Who doesn’t want to go down a slide and land in snow? 🙂

Holidays gives time for gardenblog-surfing and I found your blog when searching for Iris Sibirica. Here in Denmark I have the same challenges as you have: wet clay, deers. I agree with you that Iris Sib. is the perfect plant for these conditions. I have gathered 15 different and hope that all of them will bloom in 2012 – some of them for the first time in my garden. Another favorite of mine is starshaped Daylilies.
I enjoyed visiting your blog and will return during the next season.
    Happy Holidays

These photos are just fabulous! Snow – wow!
Living amongst the red dirt and lime-green spinifex of the outback Australian desert for so long makes these images almost non-sensical!
    Thank you :))

Sherlock Street – merry Xmas to you too!

Berit – Thrilled to have a reader from Denmark! And always good to know someone else has the same gardening issues I have. Anxious to see how your Iris Sibirica do in 2012. A fave of mine too.

Tara – Thanks for stopping by and the kind words. No snow yet this winter but it will be here soon.
